First Take is an audition preparation app built around a 13-step scene breakdown framework. To get started, create an account, add your scene or sides, and work through the breakdown steps at your own pace.

"What is First Take?"
First Take is a professional scene preparation tool for actors. It guides you through a structured breakdown process designed to help you arrive at auditions and self-tapes with clear, committed choices.
"Is First Take free?"
First Take offers a free tier with core features. A Pro subscription unlocks the full feature set including unlimited scenes, advanced progress tracking, and additional tools.

"How do I cancel my subscription?"
Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID. To cancel, go to Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, and select First Take to manage or cancel your subscription.
"I forgot my password. How do I reset it?"
On the login screen, tap Forgot Password and follow the instructions sent to your email.
"My app is crashing or not working correctly."
Try closing and reopening the app. If the issue persists, delete and reinstall the app. Your data is saved to your account and will be restored on login. If the problem continues, contact us at the email below.
